Sam Kankalil grew up in the vibrant region of West Bengal, India, before immigrating with his family to New York in 2001. Following in his father’s footsteps, Sam pursued a career in accounting.

With over 23 years of experience, including 11 years as a financial controller, Sam has established himself as a seasoned accountant, adept at managing accounting operations across various industries. He has extensive expertise in office and accounting team management, budget and financial forecast administration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting standards. Notably, Sam spent 7 years working in the real estate sector, where he honed his skills in financial management and strategic planning.

Sam and his wife currently reside in New York. They share a love for movies, podcasts, reading, traveling, and exploring new culinary experiences.

Sam joined the Vanguard team in May 2024.
